What you will learn from this course:
BLKMGK Go-Live is designed for busy professionals who want to learn the ins and outs of building and promoting a website.
This 3 week course will give you:
- Understanding of the fundamentals of what makes a good website
- Confidence in building your own website without touching any code
- Ideas to promote and market your website in today’s internet world.
What is the course format?
The course is delivered entirely online using our special learning portal software. Lessons are in the form of video tutorials and downloadable exercise workbooks. Each lesson is posted on Sunday and you then have until Thursday each week to complete the homework and feedback is given before the next lesson.
What prior knowledge do I need?
For your non technical skills you’ll need:
- Passion to learn new things and a desire to learn about websites and how the internet works
For technical skills:
- As long as you know how to use a computer, search the internet and use word processing software you’ll be fine but you do need an ADSL/Broadband internet connection
By the end of this 3 week course you will:
- Have learnt how the different components of a website work together to establish an online presence and be able to analyse any website to determine its purpose.
- Built your own website in our software playground
- Understand the importance of marketing and promoting your website and have a plan of action to promote your own website.
Who presents this course?
AJ Kulatunga is the Director of BLKMGK ICT, a website consulting/development company based in the Northern Territory of Australia. He has a Business Systems degree from Monash University and post graduate qualifications in banking and finance. AJ has over 14 years experience in designing and developing small business websites and is passionate about helping small businesses understand and use technology better. For his efforts he was named NT Young Achiever of the Year 2008.
